I have an Epson Stylus Colour 800 printer. When the black cartridge ran out, I replaced it, but now whenever I try to print in black and white (or anything black for that matter) nothing appears on the page. I have tried cleaning the printer head a number of times, but this hasn't seemed to do anything. There is a warning in the printer manual about removing a new cartridge once it is installed--> something about rendering it useless. Any ideas???

I had the same problem with my Stylus Colour 400. I ran it through the cleaning cycle about 20 times before it came good.

When replacing the black cartridge, are you supposed to reset the ink counter so that it knows the ink level again?
This is what I have to do with my cannon s300 so that it can tell me at any time how much ink is left without me actually looking. Just a thought. |
